Convert a logo image to SVG, DXF or STL with Aakaar

Trace clear artwork, set physical dimensions and review vector or extruded 3D outputs before manufacture.

Start with suitable artwork

A clear high-contrast image is usually easier to trace than a blurred screenshot. Use original SVG or DXF artwork when available. Aakaar supports PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG and ASCII DXF inputs.

Use artwork you own or are authorized to reproduce. A logo silhouette extrusion does not reconstruct the hidden geometry of an object in a photograph.

Trace, refine and size

For an illustrative logo keychain workflow, start with a simple logo with a clear boundary.

  1. Import the artwork or try the sample.
  2. Review background removal, threshold and trace detail.
  3. Remove unwanted islands and inspect thin features and closed contours.
  4. Set width, height and units. Confirm aspect ratio before changing dimensions.
  5. Choose an appropriate 3D mode, thickness and base if a model is required.
  6. Review the geometry report, then export SVG, DXF, STL or the supported 3MF output.

Check the exported file

Compare the outline with the source. Inspect holes, disconnected details and any change caused by simplification. A trace with fewer nodes may be easier to process, but excessive simplification can change the artwork.

SVG carries physical dimensions and DXF declares millimetres in this workflow. STL is unitless; import it as millimetres and confirm the resulting dimensions. Test compatibility in the application you plan to use.

Keep vector and 3D tasks separate

Choose SVG or DXF for a two-dimensional profile. Choose a 3D output for an extrusion, relief or other supported model workflow. Before manufacture, inspect the model in a slicer or CAD application rather than relying on the screen preview alone.

Worked examples are illustrative. Confirm file compatibility, material data and manufacturing requirements for your project.
